Violet Eyes

A sun surrenders, far in the distance.

Unsettled darkness, surfaces

from beneath the water.

Tangerine lights burst,

slowly dying

until the calling of a new day arrives.

In the silence, Nobody

speaks and nobody listens.

Yet I feel, violet eyes are watching me,

screaming before midnight comes.

And when it comes,

the velvet sky is soft but dark,

and if you try hard enough

you can hear the cries of lonely sparrows.

They are like us,

except we are lost in stupidity,

dreams and time and expectations.

What a joke.
